Things have reportedly been pretty chaotic on the set of Bond 25 since Cary Fukunaga took over as director. Reports of a mutiny against Fukunaga came out about a week ago but they were quickly brushed off as nonsense by the studio. (Let’s not forget that this is the films that caused Danny Boyle to swear off franchises though.) Since then, the production is going so well they just had to show us in a new behind-the-scenes video from the set.
The video sadly doesn’t give away too much though as it’s just a montage across various days and shoots. One thing it does show us though is that everything’s great and there’s totally no mutiny. However, considering Daniel Craig looks pretty mobile in the short featurette, I’d guess most of this footage is from before his injury. And, thus before the reported mutiny began forming.
In all seriousness though, I’d take any of those mutiny reports with a grain of salt. There’s always going to be an adjustment phase with any new director. And I doubt the director could consistently show up to the set hours late for a film this big and this important, and get away with it. Back to the video though, if the final film is anything like what’s on display here, I think we’re in for a treat.
