
On Monday, January 15, 2024, Beef won “Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series” at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. Beef has also picked up four additional Emmy Awards for writing, directing, lead actor and lead actress.
Beef joins an exclusive circle of previous winners that includes Watchmen in 2020, Queen’s Gambit in 2021 and The White Lotus in 2022. Previous winners also include Chernobyl, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and Big Little Lies among others.
The “Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series” race was incredibly competitive in 2023. The field of nominees included Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, FX’s Fleishman Is In Trouble, Netflix’s Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six and Netflix’s Beef.
Next year, the field will remain packed with tough contenders. True Detective: Night Country is returning to HBO in mid-January. Also, Genius: MLK/X is drawing attention thanks to the performances of Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Aaron Pierre. Not to be forgotten, shows like Criminal Record on Apple TV+ and Parish on AMC are also gaining traction amongst critics and viewers.
