For the third straight season, the Chicago Bears ended their season at the bottom of the NFC North standings under the leadership of head coach John Fox. After a successful four year stint with the Denver Broncos, which included a trip to the Super Bowl and a 46-18 record, the Chicago Bears hired Fox hoping to bring some of that same success to the Windy City. Unfortunately, all parties involved fell flat on their face.
The Bears have fired Fox after three seasons with the team.

Fox took over for another failed experiment in Marc Trestman. Fox leaves Chicago with a 14-34 record over three seasons with the team and ended the 2017 campaign with a 5-11 record. He’s posted a 133-123 record over his head coaching career with the Bears, Broncos and Carolina Panthers.
Chicago now looks to bring in a coach to lead the young backfield of Mitch Trubisky and Jordan Howard. While it will be another year in the rebuild for Chicago, they did find some success defensively. They finished the 2017 season posting a top 10 defense in points and yards allowed for the first time since 2012.
