With the holiday season in full swing, many have come to visit families, enjoy time off from work and spend time with friends. After today, it appears that many government officials will have plenty of time to join in on those festivities. On Friday night, the government began a partial shut down when Congress failed to reach an agreement in a new spending deal. Much of the disagreement falls on Trump’s desire to use upwards of $5 billion to begin building a wall at the U.S.-Mexican boarder. Democrats in Congress vehemently oppose the idea of the wall and have for some time. As a result, the two sides have reached an impasse.
Trump is now planning to shut down the government at Christmas because his promise that Mexico will pay for the wall was a lie. He behaves like a petulant child instead of a president. https://t.co/1bDRyJWQ8x

The result of a government shut down is vast and wide reaching. In more frivolous ways, many National Parks may close. On a more serious note, many federal employees will be furloughed or forced to work without pay until the matter is resolved. Not to mention, small business owners will not have access to many federally assisted loans and state farm service centers will be closed.
All I want for Christmas is for @DougJones to decide to act like a Democrat and vote against spending $5 Billion to give Donald Trump a border wall. ??

As one would expect, many citizens are extremely upset by this weekend’s events. Among those upset are Hollywood’s elite. Bette Midler, Alyssa Milano, Chelsea Handler sounded off about the government shutdown, U.S.-Mexico Border Wall and much more.
Has anyone told Donald that if the government shuts down, he still has to work? Cuz I think that might change his mind.
