Martin Lawrence and Will Smith’s Bad Boys For Life will enter the video-on-demand market roughly three weeks earlier than expected because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. In joining the market, the Smith and Lawrence film will join The Way Back and Birds of Prey among the many films to enter the market early. Other films like The Lovebirds will bypass theaters all together and go straight to streaming. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. continues to mull over the possibility of releasing the next Wonder Woman film exclusively online.
Released on January 17, 2020, the third Bad Boys film earned $204 million during its run. As of now, it stands as the highest grossing film of the year. Given the unexpected nature of this pandemic, there’s a chance it could stand through the year with that title.
Fans who haven’t caught the movie or want to re-watch it can get it online on March 31, 2020. Those who wish to own it on blu-ray and DVD will have to wait until April 21, 2020. In the meantime, check out our review of Bad Boys For Life.
