In Kevin Garnett’s time in Boston there’s one thing we know for sure is the amount of respect he and former Celtic’s Head Coach Doc Rivers have for each other. Apparently this situation you cannot say the cliche saying “like father like son”.
Austin Rivers isn’t used to hearing a player like Kevin Garnett, a player that has one of the highest motors in The NBA. We all know Garnett is a guy that’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind which Austin Rivers must not appreciate if he’s going to do this to Garnett.
Garnett does not appreciate the shoulder Rivers gives him, and gives him some choice words which helped both players receive a technical.
Kind of an awkward position to be in if you’re Doc Rivers with Garnett saying something to his son obviously Doc’s flesh and blood is more important, but it’s clear the respect for Doc doesn’t mean he will just give respect to his son.
This extra curricular was kind of random to begin with though Rivers wasn’t even involved with Garnett until this happened. Just shows the fire that Garnett plays with and that he will not take anyones disrespect no matter who it is which you can respect.
Austin Rivers would get the last laugh though with The Clippers defeating Minnesota 110-105
