I hate to harp on a story that saddened the music industry, but NY Times writer Jon Caramanica tweeted that the Chief Medical Examiner calls A$AP Yams’ death accident caused by acute mixed drug intoxication including opiates and benzodiazepine.
Benzos — as they are commonly referred as — classify as drugs Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, Ativan, and a few others are simply tranquilizers. Their used for treating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, insomnia, seizures, nausea, vomiting, muscle relaxation and more, which leads them to becomes easily abused. Also, they are harder to kick since the body eventually becomes dependent on the drug.
Opiates have a laundry list of drugs under its belt, but the most common uses are heroin, codeine, opium, vicodin, and mixed for lean. Opiates are used medically for sleep aids, so you can see the danger of mixing benzodiazepine and opiates.
Be safe out there people.
