Apple TV+ has given the green light to a new documentary series set at the prestigious Howard University. Led by Seth Gordon, Big Man On Campus will follow the ups and downs of Makur Maker’s freshman year at the historically Black university.
Maker made history over the summer as he became the first five-star men’s basketball recruit to sign with an HBCU. Unfortunately, his freshman season was met with a series of unforeseen hurdles. In addition to dealing with injuries, the COVID-19 pandemic altered traditional student life at the lively campus. Not to mention, the season kicked off in the shadow a tense election and an unprecedented movement against police brutality.
Maker’s documentary series follows Apple’s latest forays into the medium. Greatness Code, Home, Jet and The Supermodels have all debuted on the streaming service in recent months. At this moment, there is no word as to when Big Man On Campus will join those series on Apple TV+.
