Apple TV+ has offered the first look at its upcoming project, Hijack, starring Idris Elba. Idris Elba will play the role of Sam Nelson. According to Apple TV+, Nelson is described as “an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers — but, his high-risk strategy could be his undoing.”
Elba will star alongside Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award winner Archie Panjabi. Panjabi will play the role of Zahra Gahfoor. Gahfoor is described as “a counterterrorism officer who is on the ground when the plane is hijacked and becomes part of the investigation.”
The seven-part thriller from Apple TV+ will also feature Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles. Behind the scenes, Lupin executive producer George Kay will write the script while Criminal executive producer Jim Field Smith directs.
