This coming season, Alvin Gentry is going to be the newest coach in New Orleans, and their star forward, Anthony Davis, is already excited to work with his new head coach. Gentry has had a lot of experience in coaching throughout his 12 year career as the head coach of 5 different teams.
Davis: He’s a great coach and proven he coach guys and from what I’ve heard everybody likes him and loves him. #Pelicans

Davis is already saying how he has heard nothing but great things about his new coach, which is great for making their relationship as successful as possible. With one of the youngest stars in the NBA on his team, Gentry is already coming in with a lot of expectations, especially since he just won a title as an assistant with Golden State.
The relationship between a team’s head coach and their star player is a key to make sure everybody else stays in line and is focused on the same goal. Davis is going to be in New Orleans for a long time to come, but if Gentry wants the same, he has to get this team to the next level fast.
