Anthony Davis has been a little busy since the trade that landed him in Hollywood. Not only is he set to have a role in the Space Jam sequel, but he also has landed the first ever chip deal with Ruffles.
The six-time NBA All-Star will be a creative partner with the brand. Together, the duo will release Ruffles inspired Nike’s call the Ruffles Ridge Top. Starting next week, and going through August 4th, fans that buy Ruffles and enter the code on the back can win different kinds of prizes, with the grand prize being the Ruffles-and-Davis-crafted sneakers.
Not only will the All-NBA star design sneakers for the company, but he will also help craft new Ruffles flavors down the road. It will be interesting to see if his flavors will end up becoming his favorite over his current, the sour cream and cheddar chips.
Anthony Davis also will be a “creative partner” with @RUFFLES and help the brand develop new products, including signature flavors of chips. The argument that market size doesn’t matter seems to have taken a hit with everything Davis has done since the trade was announced. With a movie role and a chip deal already secured, players will take note if Davis continues to land more deals.
Hopefully, the new Lakers star will be able to land a dip deal in the future. Right now its all about having chips with the dip.
