Janelle Monáe takes center stage in the latest trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming film, Antebellum. Throughout the trailer, we get a first look at Monáe’s gripping journey as she’s transported from the 21st Century to the Antebellum South.
“Successful author Veronica Henley finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late,” Lionsgate writes.
“Antebellum is a terrifying new thriller from the producer of the acclaimed films Get Out and Us, and groundbreaking directors Gerard Bush and Christoper Renz – an exciting new voice in filmmaking,” the movie studio adds.
Alongside Monáe, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe and Marque Richardson II will appear in the film. Check out the latest trailer for Antebellum before it hits theaters in August.
