The Los Angeles Angels suffered quite the blow when their beloved pitcher, Tyler Skaggs, was found dead on July 1st in a Texas Hotel. It was known that the toxicology report was going to take some time to get back. However, the report was released today and revealed some shocking information. For those who do not remember, the Angels accomplished a fantastic feat to honor their teammate, throwing a combined no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners while all were wearing No. 45 “Skaggs” jerseys. This was a touching tribute for the Skaggs family who was in attendance for the game and was a part of pre-game festivities. Players were also granted the option to wear Skaggs patches on their uniforms during the 2019 Players Weekend festivities.
In terms of the toxicology report, the Angels have hired an attorney to try to find out where Skaggs was able to acquire the drugs that were in his system. Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times tweeted about the report, saying that there could be a connection between the Angels organization and Skaggs cause of death. There was a statement issued by the Skaggs family, citing that they believed an Angels employee might have been involved in the incident.
