Former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has joined CNN as a political commentator. The news comes just a week after he exited the race to become the next President of the United States.
“I’m excited to join CNN to help shed light on the election and the candidates’ experiences,” Yang tweeted on Wednesday.
“Learned a lot these past months and am glad to contribute to the public discussion,” he added.
Yang is expected to make his debut on the network during this week’s presidential debate in Nevada. Presidential candidates such as Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar are expected to take the stage ahead of this week’s primary.
Next week, the Nevada primary will be followed by the South Carolina primary. These two primaries will set the stage for March’s all important “Super Tuesday” elections.
