The Golden State Warriors arguably have one of the best starting 5’s in the NBA. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, David Lee and Andrew Bogut. That starting five is going to spark some fun in the western conference. But the warriors bench can not catch a break. They have not been able to find a solid back-up point guard for stephen curry.
Coach Steve Kerr has played around with the idea of brining Andre Iguodala off the bench to give a spark to the lacking Warriors bench. This is because Iguodala can suprisingly distribute the ball and can work well in a rotation.
With the recent injury of Shaun Livingston who got signed to the Golden State Warriors this off-season, Iguodala is their only hope at having a decent bench.
Well lets think about it… so if you don’t have Iguodala starting at the 3 who would you start? Well you have Harrison Barnes, and Draymond Green. Those two would contribute to various aspects of the game when starting for Iguodala. Green is good defender, and Barnes can definitely score in bunches, but is it what the Warriors need? He could definitely pick up the slack from the warriors bench… I mean who would even play Back-up Point Guard, Nemanja Nedovic, Leandro Barbosa, Aaron Craft?! Hopefully they can figure it out, because they have to put Andrew Bogut, David Lee, Iguodala, Klay, and Curry, those 5 are just too big of a problem for opposing teams. If Iguodala is on the court MOST the time with those guys and contribute to a spark off the bench, the Warriors have solved their problem.
