Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the late Notorious B.I.G.’s album Ready To Die, Amazon Music releases a mini-documentary featuring a rare interview from the rapper himself.
One of many rappers gone too soon, the Notorious B.I.G. left a legacy of unmatched lyricism and grit. Through his music, Biggie told stories chronicling his life from the streets to the stage. There have been many films, documentaries, and series created analyzing the life of Notorious B.I.G. and his murder. Amazon Music’s “The Birth of Biggie: 25 Years of Ready to Die” offers rarely heard audio interviews as well as rarely seen photos adding insight on the come-up of Biggie Smalls.
With interviews from biographer Cheo Hodari Coker, as well as conversations with Ready to Die producers Easy Mo Bee and DJ Mister Cee, and former SVP of Promotions for Arista/Bad Boy, Rob Stone, the mini-documentary explores not only Biggie’s life but some of the meaning behind his music.
A long-form audio version of the mini-documentary is available on Amazon Music and is available to any Prime member.
