The 2016 Basketball Hall of Fame is a loaded class but headlined by three stars from the early 2000’s in Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal and Yao Ming. They all paid their dues and made a difference in the world of basketball in one way or another.
While their actual Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be on Friday, Thursday night the dynamic trio sat down with ESPN and had a small Hall of Fame roundtable.
They discussed things like their first impressions of each other, their most embarrassing moment and how they would fit in with today’s NBA game. As expected, Shaq stole the show, the soft-spoken giant Yao Ming talked elegantly about his career and peers and Allen Iverson kept audiences captivated with his answers. Three guys who couldn’t be more different came together for a great moment. And somehow, they found a way to make fun of Allen Iverson’s ‘practice’ rant.
