Today, the NBA sent 3 NBA legends into the Hall Of Fame, Yao Ming, Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson. Individually, these players have shown that they are truly legends in the game of basketball throughout there illustrious and successful careers. For a lot of NBA fans today, these 3 players, hold a special place in their hearts. Yao, Shaq and Iverson were at one point or the other faces of the game, and some would argue that these are some of the biggest trendsetters in the NBA in the early 2000’s. From a young Magic Center in Shaquille O’Neal showing off his diverse style of play that broke basketball rims and did things that seemed unimaginable at the time, to Yao Ming being an international icon for the NBA and it’s work in China, and Iverson’s swag and style that he brought to the game, these 3 individuals have changed the way the NBA game is played.
Despite these players being remembered for their good qualities, their always going to be remembered for their bad ones as well. Iverson was quickly pointed out at one of his, being late. Iverson was late to his own Hall of Fame press conference, according to Michael Lee of the Vertical:
Allen Iverson is here. Just slipped on Hall of Fame jacket. Said he was late from “personal situation” #hoophall16 pic.twitter.com/63yqStTfyB

Iverson was later asked about the tardiness, to which he gave a funny response to:
This is hilarious… “Why it can’t just be great?” (via @Tom_NBA) pic.twitter.com/vPEPBFdRSF

I kind of understand where Iverson’s frustration comes from. He has received a lot of criticism and has been asked questions like that all the time because of his whole ‘practise’ monologue, but the past is the past. Let the man have his greatness.
