I’ve been a fan of Robin Thicke since his release of “Lost Without You”. The album “The Evolution of Robin Thicke” was definitely an album I played countless times.

The woman’s voice which will be heard through the whole CD making sexual noises and speaking to the doctor asks us to “wait for the doctor”. Ok, we will, but he better hurry up… Ah, there he is ;-) :
Mrs. Sexy
The album really starts now with a slow jam called “Mrs. Sexy”. It’s a nice beginning but I wouldn’t call the song great.
Sex Therapy
The 1st single off Sex Therapy wasn’t immediately my favorite song, to be honest: I didn’t like it. Seeing Robin Thicke performing the song changed my mind completely: The song is amazingly sexy.
Meiple feat. Jay-Z
I love this song! Jay and Robin definitely put out a harmonic song.
Make U Love Me
This song is very hot. One of the best one without guest stars.
It’s In The Morning feat. Snoop Dogg
This song is also very beautiful but I think Snoop Dogg is a little redundant. He actually rather destroys the beautiful flow the songs originally has.
Shakin’ It 4 Daddy feat. Nicki Minaj
Although I am not really a fan of Nicki Minaj I must admit she killed it! Polow Da Don produced one hot beat as well. One of my very favorite songs.
Elevatas feat. Kid Cudi
The beginning of the song is just fierce: Cudi raps over a rock guitar instrumental. And also Robin delivers an addicting chorus with the sequence “I am falling, I am falling”.
Start With A Kiss
This interlude announces something like second part of the album.
Rollacoasta feat. Estelle
Estelle’s voice isn’t really striking on the track but I don’t mind that. Hot song which also has some old skool components.
Million Dolla Baby feat. Jazmine Sullivan
Even though the song is not bad I often overlook it. If I was to tell the tracklist this song would probably be the one I’ll forget to mention.
2 Luv Birds
Just a very very beautiful and cute song.
I Got U
The song is somewhat funny as the instrumental reminds me of the background music of SIMS lol. This song is also rather a sung dialog between the patient and Doctor Robin Thicke.
Jus Right
I looove this song. One of of my favorite songs.
Mona Lisa
This one is also beautiful. My favorite lines are: If I were a painter, you’d be my Mona Lisa / If I were a scientist baby, I’d find the right chemistry…
Brand New Love
…has the same feel as the previous two songs but out of the three it’s probably the weakest one.
Diamonds feat. Game
In this song Game and Robin Thicke dedicate this song to all the women all over the world. They shout out to several personalities as Oprah Winfrey, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Beyoncé, Paula Patton, Michelle Obama and their mothers! Love it!
As you already noticed I really love this album. I had to listen to it several times to get into it but I’m glad I did!
Robin’s sexy voice can’t do much wrong and the collaborations work out pretty good. He often gets compared to Justin Timberlake and personally if I had to decide between the two I would easily choose the sex therapist…
