As the Wizards are trying to stretch out the floor to open up space around the rim, Alan Anderson was brought in as a perfect fit for the new system. Washington was able to sign the guard away from Brooklyn, where he played for the past two seasons as a member of the Nets.
Anderson is already ready to join his teammates, and feels he is going to be a perfect fit for what the Wizards are trying to do. With Wall right there to dish him the ball after drawing a double team and other shooters on the floor, Anderson is bound to get some great looks.
“I see myself fitting in fine. Those guys, they play hard. They get after it, they up and down, but still, they can play halfcourt ball. John Wall is amazing in the open court, even half court. He creates so many mismatches because he attacks the basket so aggressively and Bradley Beal opens it up. I just think I can attack as well as knock down open shots and defend, and just do little things I’ve done my whole career.”
The fans in Washington love their three-point shots, as well as huge dunks that get the Verizon Center roaring. Anderson is capable of doing both and is bound to be an ideal fit with both players and fans as he makes the move to the nation’s capital.
