And the Dwight Howard slander continues. We just cannot help ourselves. I still don’t really know why we still hate on him as an NBA community. I can see why Orlando and Lakers fans hate him, if Rockets fans feel the same way. I guess I can understand that too.
Dwight Howard is just that guy that irks everyone. Maybe it’s because his PPG and RPG has been on a negative correlation for the past few years, yet, his pay has been on a constant rise. Speaking of “constant rise in pay”. He’s in Atlanta now, taking full advantage of the bloated cap.
At this point Dwight is pretty much a replacement for Al Horford who’s now in Boston. Recently Horford’s father Tito said it was poor fan support. A source from CBS Sports claims it was partly because of Dwight Howard.
Factor No. 1, according to league sources: Horford was none too pleased with how reluctant the Hawks were to come forward with a full five-year max. Factor No. 2: Atlanta’s signing of Dwight Howard. Could there be a more contradicting force in the NBA to Horford than Howard, in terms of substance vs. style?
“He didn’t want to play with Dwight,” a person familiar with the situation told CBS Sports.
Now we see that and immediately think that Al Horford just plain doesn’t want to play with Dwight Howard because it’s Dwight. But maybe he just doesn’t see the fit? I’m clutching at straws here but hey, it’s forever a what if now that Horford is in Boston.
