Afro Nation has offered an early holiday present to fans around the world. Following the success of Afro Nation’s recent event in Portugal, the Afrobeats celebration will travel to Accra, Ghana in December. Set to take place at Marine Drive, Black Star Square on December 29-30, the festival will feature the biggest names in music from around the globe.
“We started Afro Nation to give a global platform to the artists that we love. After just 4 shows we have seen over 150 live performances in front of over 100,000 people across 3 different continents, Africa, Europe and America,” festival organizers stated.
The upcoming two-day festival will also mark a major moment for Afro Nation. In collaboration with Event Blackstar Limited and the Ghanian Government, Afro Nation has purchased the stage used in Portugal this summer and will transport it to Accra, Ghana. As the stage is transported, Afro Nation will launch a training program that will provide a full stage crew with the tools needed to build and run the stage. By 2025, the festival stage will be fully operated by the West African team, without any assistance from the U.K.
“We will continue to support our culture and look forward to seeing many global artists perform on this stage in the near future across the continent. Thank you for your support,” festival organizers added.
A full lineup for Afro Nation’s December 2022 event will be released as the scheduled date nears.
