By now, you’re well aware that Adele-season is in full fledge takeover mode. With her lead single, ‘Hello,’ current smashing airwaves and setting new records left and right, even without the success of the single, Adele’s 25 had initial success written all over it due to the mark left by its predecessor, 21. As we’re just 10 days away from November 20th, excited fans, and those who don’t want to forget, make their way to various outlets to pre-order albums. Being no exception, with momentum already through the roof, Adele’s 25 is already looking to shift almost 500K copies, and reach Gold certification status, based off of pre-orders alone.
With a little more than one week until street, Adele’s 25 (XL/Columbia) continues to rack up huge preorder numbers. Across all retailers, 25 is approaching 500k in orders. Of course, the bulk of this—over 80%—is digital, since most physical retailers don’t offer a preorder option.
With reports coming out with the possibility that Adele’s next offering may not be available via Spotify, this news merely serves as confirmation that the force known as Adele doesn’t need much assistance making her music more widely available as the masses seem to be flying her way. To put it simply, this is the calm before the storm that will break loose on November 20th.
