Just when it might have been safe to say that we have seen and heard it all when it comes to Adele’s newest smash hit album, 25, there’s even more news to report and new reasons for the singer to celebrate her highly anticipated comeback. After shattering all expectations with the monumental 3.38 million copies sold of 25 in its debut week, Adele went on to break N’SYNC’s long-standing first week sales record and had already went onto become one of the best selling albums of 2015, worldwide. Sitting at atop of Billboard’s Top 200, the steam isn’t expected to let off any time soon due to the hectic holiday season among us. Serving as the perfect gift for music lovers, according to Billboard, Adele’s body of work has done it again as she has sold an additional million copies of 25 in its second week in the U.S. Since Nielsen Music started tracking album sales back in 1991, Adele’s new set of tunes goes on to become the first album in Nielsen history to sell one million copies in two separate weeks. A more than commendable accomplishment, there’s no telling if or when we could ever see such a dominant force like Adele storm the music industry with their music. At this point, it’ll come as no surprise if week 3 brings on more accolades. Still not available via streaming services like Apple Music and TIDAL, if you’re curious to hear just what all the hype is about, head to your local music retailers to pick up your copy.
