At this moment, it has been over 4 years since Adele took the world by storm and released her massively successful 21 album. Boasting well-known hits such as ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Set Fire To The Rain,’ Adele’s music dominated radio and her album dominated the charts and went on to sell over 11 million copies in just the U.S. alone. Taking a well deserved break, the U.K singer went on to have her first child and within the past few years, started recording 21‘s follow-up at her own pace. Now, it appears that Adele is ready for round 3 as it’s being reported by HITS Daily Double that her third album will be released in the next few months.
The long-awaited return of XL/Columbia’s Adele is slated for 11/20, and is naturally expected to have a seismic impact on the remainder of the year. Expect the leadoff single to drop in the first or second week of November.
The British superstar has inked a lockout deal with NBC for four big TV looks, includingThe Today Show, SNL, a prime-time special and one more appearance TBA (possiblyFallon). The exclusive deal will not, however, prevent Adele from appearing on the 2016 Grammys.
As mentioned above, along with the release just in time for holiday season, the singer has lined up a series of high-profile appearances that will easily inform the public of her return. We also reported back in July that the singer had teamed up with the ever so clever, Pharrell, to put his magical touch on her new LP. With massive shoes to fill due to the overwhelming success of her sophomore album, coming off from such success, it may just be impossible for Adele to fail. We all know the general public has the final answer and only time will tell. For now, the album’s lead single will be falling into our laps very soon.
