The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a one-year deal with kicker Adam Vinatieri. Vinatieri will be returning for his 23rd season, this was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter
Schefter also reported some of the numbers from the recently inked deal;
Adam Vinatieri’s one-year deal with the Colts is worth $3.625 million – $1M to sign and a $2.625M base salary, per source.

At the age of 45, Adam Vinatieri is only 58 points short of breaking Morten Anderson as number one on the NFL’s all-time scoring list. He has reached that mark in every season except and injury-shortened ’09 campaign.
Vinatieri has played 23 seasons with the New England Patriots and the Colts, he as four Super Bowl rings to show for it. He’s hit over 90% of his kicks over the last four season hitting 111 of 123 with two missed coming during big snow storm up in Buffalo.
To put in perspective how long Adam Vinatieri has been kicking, his head coach Frank Reich was still playing QB in the NFL when Vinatieri made his debut in 1996.
