Adam Sandler tweeted out a new trailer today to build hype for his upcoming return to stand-up comedy. 100% Fresh will hit Netflix on October 23rd. The trailer doesn’t show much of Sandler’s material but the musical comedy the helped launch Sandler’s career is present, as is Sandler’s dog apparently. There are also shots of Sandler dancing and drinking as he interacts with the crowd. Regardless of the quality of Sandler’s new material, it looks like he had fun at the very least.

100% Fresh marks Sandler’s return to stand-up for the first time since Adam Sandler: What the Hell Happened to Me? came out in 1996.
Sandler has been working exclusively with Netflix recently as part of a film deal he struck a few years ago. The Ridiculous 6 is by far the most popular film released as part of that deal with reportedly over half a billion viewing hours logged by Netflix subscribers. Netflix has also released Sandler’s films The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, and The Week Of. None of these films were nearly as popular as The Ridiculous 6.
It’s unclear but unlikely that the stand-up special is a part of that deal considering Netflix’s emphasis on stand-up programming.
