New York’s Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been able to transition from music to television in a major way. Over the past few years, Jackson has ventured into television with shows like Power, 50 Central and many more. Going forward, Jackson is planning to strengthen his television empire with a B.M.F series and a possible Power spin-off.
One of 50 Cent’s future projects is a comedy called United We Fall. Today, the Grammy winner learned that ABC has ordered a pilot of his new series. According to a report from Variety, United We Fall is “a multi-cam family sitcom that shows how, when two people with young children and overzealous extended families truly love each other, barely anything is possible.”
50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television will produce the series along with ABC Studios and Sony Pictures. Julius Sharpe, Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn will also have a hand in writing and producing the series with Jackson.
In addition to United We Fall, ABC also ordered a pilot of an untitled drama. The new drama from Jackson and ABC Studios will explore the story of a lawyer working on other cases while fighting to overturn his own life sentence.
There is no word on when either of these pilots will begin production.
