Former Iowa forward Aaron White was taken by the Washington Wizards with the 49th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. immediately after being selected, it was speculated that White would begin his professional basketball career playing overseas, but now it does not seem like a complete guarantee.
White will be playing summer league with the Wizards before he and the team make a decision on what the forward is going to do. This gives both the team and himself an opportunity to see what would be the best move as they both move forward.
Following From Washington Post.
“Aaron will play Summer League with the Wizards and then we will evaluate if it is best to go overseas or not this season,” White’s agent, Chris Emens, wrote in an e-mail. “Aaron is open to doing whatever the Wizards think is best for his development.”
Summer League is always fun to watch as every player is competing for a roster spot or an opportunity to play elsewhere for the upcoming season. White has an opportunity, and has to make the most of it even if he ends up playing overseas rather than in Washington next season.
