A$AP Rocky performed for the first time this weekend since being released from custody in Sweden.
In a report by People, the rapper addressed his Swedish arrest after performing at the Real Street Festival in Anaheim, California. Rocky stated, “I’m so happy to be here right now y’all can’t even understand it.” He continued, “I’m so happy to be here right now. That was a scary humbling experience but I’m here right now. God is good.”
A$AP Rocky then went on describing his gratitude for all of the support he received during his arrest.
“People who didn’t even f— with me felt sympathetic for my situation, people was praying for me. That uplifted me when my spirits were low. Can’t thank y’all enough, that was crazy, thank you so much. Hip hop never looked so strong together, we a big strong community together.”
Rocky was arrested in July and charged with assault. He pleaded not guilty and was recently released. The rapper is awaiting the final verdict expected to be announced on August 14.
