Throughout the past week, our country has entered into a new world of turmoil. With the unjustly killing of George Floyd backed by Donald Trump’s battle with many of the world’s biggest social media companies, it’s possible to forget at times that we are living through a pandemic. The world is tragically nearing 6 million confirmed cases of COVID-19. Within the next month, it is possible that the United States could reach as many as 125,000 COVID-19 related deaths in total. In an effort to keep the country upright, medical professionals from every corner of their country are risking their well being to care for those in need. Joining them, public figures with large platforms are urged to spread awareness on how volatile this virus can be.
By day, Sirius XM’s Ryan Sampson has earned a large following covering the world of entertainment. During his career, he’s interviewed everyone from Justin Bieber to Rihanna. This Friday, he’s using his platform to spread awareness regarding the growing pandemic. Sampson teamed up with 60 Second Productions to put together an artistic PSA about how coronavirus can impact you and those you love. Directed by Dominique Freeman, the visual showcases Sampson suffering through some of the symptoms that those infected go through. Backed by photography from Da Wavee, the video gets straight to the heart of the matter in minutes. Check out the full video above.
