Until August 13th, you can head back to Ancient Rome in company with Future Learn and Dr Matthew Nicolls, a Roman historian from the University of Reading. This 3D virtual tour and history course is an immersive experience, taking you to the epicenter of a global empire and teaching you all about the infrastructure, architecture, entertainment and daily life in Rome. The course is intended to run for 5 weeks and take 3 hours each week. However, you can run through the 15 hours at your own pace and in your own time.

With free apps like Duolingo, you can start learning all sorts of languages in as little as around 15 minutes a day. The apps are interactive, fun and suitable for complete beginners.
