The Jacksonville Jaguars were one team recently discussed on the NFL Draft Podcast earlier last week. An organization that is filled with young talent including Blake Bortles and Allen Robinson could use a nice draft in order to return to the postseason for the first time since 2007.
The Jaguars have some options when it comes to the 5th overall pick. With the expected return of Dante Fowler Jacksonville basically has two first round picks in their minds. On defense my first two choices are Myles Jack and Jalen Ramsey as both are sure fire all pro’s at the next level. On the other hand they could also take players such as Joey Bosa or DeForest Buckner but they are filled with bust potential in my mind. If neither Jack or Ramsey is on the board the Jaguars would certainly be thrilled with either tackle Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley as well.
In the second round I would like to see the Jaguars continue to get playmakers for Blake Bortles. A player like Will Fuller could be the perfect deep threat along side Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson on the outside. Other deep threat targets include Baylor’s Corey Coleman and Oklahoma’s Sterling Sheppard.
Finally for the Jags this is one team I would like to see take a chance on Jaylon Smith or an inside linebacker at some point. Gus Bradley came from the Seattle scheme where they had several linebackers to patrol the defense. Temple’s Tyler Matekevich or Arizona’s Scooby Wright could be an option later in the draft as well.
