Going to the grocery store has not been the most fun thing lately for many reasons, first being the fact that money is tight. While it stinks not being able to get all your favorite little snacks at the store every time now, there are ways you can save a little. Target sales ad of the week gives coupons that last a week on products that you actually will buy! The coupons change weekly and help you save a little more at the store. Now the only issue is being able to find the things you need. The pandemic has been hard on supply chains. Let’s look at three items that are still hard to find at the store during the pandemic.
Hand Sanitizer
Oh, how we took things for granted. Hand sanitizer has to be one of the hardest to find items currently. What used to just appear in that little pocket on the inside of your car door, is suddenly non-existent. If you have some laying around still, good for you! You currently have a wealth greater than 50% of Americans. Pro tip: find out when your local store gets deliveries and restocks, you might be able to snag a travel bottle before it disappears again.
Lysol Disinfect Spray
Does anyone remember the last time they saw Lysol name brand spray at the store? The stores have those signs that say you can only take three at a time, but I’m not so sure that is being enforced everywhere. The biggest reason that Lysol is flying off shelves is that early on in the pandemic it came out that Lysol already listed coronavirus as one of the bacteria/viruses it killed. If your local big brand store doesn’t have any on the shelves try going over to the dollar stores you normally don’t go to. If there is knock-off Lysol spray there, you won’t break the bank buying it!
Rubbing Alcohol
Once the hand sanitizer and Lysol went away, everyone jumped on the isopropyl alcohol. There are certain families out there who probably have a huge stockpile of it laying around and then there are others that have never had it in their house until this March. There are all kinds of uses for rubbing alcohol, it helps clean up stains and messes and doubles as first aid. Something that I have seen that impressed me. If you are out of Lysol spray but have some alcohol lying around, put a squirt bottle nozzle onto the end of your bottle of alcohol, and turn it into a spray. Your alcohol will last longer and it lets you use it as a regular disinfectant spray.
