2k Sports is looking to have a big year for NBA 2k16. As you all may know by now, Spike Lee is invested in this years MyCareer story line for 2k16 and if you’re a fan of Spike, you know he gave us the great ‘He Got Game’ film. There’s been rumors of Spike and 2k having players start out as a high school prospect playing their way through college and trying to make it to the NBA. Following those rumors the achievement/trophy list for NBA 2k16 leaked and they confirmed that story line.
Now there are reports of 2k potentially obtaining the license to implement college basketball. Last week EA Sports and the NCAA came to a settlement to release the college rights, which leaves the question in the air, will 2k Sports gain the license to use collegiate teams?
2k has yet to speak out on these rumors, but with the team pushing “Be The Story” so heavily, one can only expect a lot from 2k. They also recently revealed that they will now have the NBA’s ‘Summer League’ in MyGM and MyCareer.
