If you’re 21 Savage, you’re happy to be a free man at the moment. For most of February, the rapper found himself behind bars at the hands of ICE. Being taken into custody for overstaying his Visa, the rapper became the center of many conversations surrounding ICE and their policies, immigration laws, and so much more.
Receiving much support from fans and Hip-Hop titans like JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar and others, the rapper is currently free ahead of his deportation hearing. Taking this moment to discuss just what he went through for those several days while in custody at an immigration detention center in Georgia, 21 Savage stopped by “Good Morning America” to divulge his experiece.
While speaking on just what he went through, the rapper also noted that he was unaware of what a Visa was in his earlier years and did not know how his adult life would be affected by him not being born in the United States. The interview also features appearances from 21’s critical lawyer team, hired by JAY-Z, who express their views on the situation at hand.
An insightful watch at the very least, we’re hoping that everything works out for 21 Savage’s good in the long run surrounding the situation.
