Following the unconventional 2020 NBA Draft at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, don’t expect more of the same this year. Due to the global pandemic in light of the COVID19, the NBA had to switch plans from the original venue, the Barclays Center.
The NBA loves to showcase its star-level talent, and the draft is a huge step in marketing fresh talent to the masses. Expect the NBA to find a way to thoroughly outdo last year’s efforts.
While the United States continues to expand on COVID19 vaccinations, opportunities arise for the league to increase capacity at its games and events. Look for the league to find an avenue for fans to participate in this year’s festivities.
Oklahoma State Cade Cunningham and USC’s Evan Mobley stand out as the big names of the 2021 NBA Draft class. Last year saw Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman, and Lamelo Ball as the top 3 picks selected.
