Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have announced that the next Verzuz battle will feature 2 Chainz and Rick Ross.
This news comes after days of rumored potential battles. This week, Twitter users have floated the idea of Juicy J and Nas battle or an Usher and Chris Brown battle.
Rick Ross enters the battle with five number one albums, three gold projects and a platinum debut effort. Over the years, he’s offered a number of hits including “B.M.F.” and “Stay Schemin'” featuring French Montana and Drake. He’s also hopped on records like “I’m A Boss” with Meek Mill and “I’m On One” with DJ Khaled, Drake and Lil’ Wayne.

In the opposite corner, 2 Chainz enters the bout with an impressive resume of his own. With an impressive career that spans nearly two decades, he’s offered hits such as “I’m Different” and “Birthday Song” with Kanye West. He’s also shared the studio with Drake and Kendrick Lamar for “F*ckin’ Problems” and hopped on “Bugatti” with Ace Hood.
The upcoming Verzuz battle will take place on August 6, 2020 at 8 p.m. via Instagram Live and Apple Music.
