Quietly, 070 Shake has been one of the emerging stars in music today. Thanks to her Soundcloud catalog, the New Jersey native caught the attention of Miami based influencer ,YesJulz, back in 2016. The Bergen, New Jersey native continued to put out music and gained placement on a Lil Yachty record. Shortly thereafter, YesJulz connected 070 Shake to her close friend, Travis Scott. Since then, 070 Shake has silently moved her way up the G.O.O.D Music ladder. While it is unclear whether or not 070 Shake is officially signed with the Pusha T and Kanye West led imprint, it is certainly clear that she is working with them heavily. Having been featured on both Daytona and Ye, it is definitely a possibility that 070 Shake may have her hand in every G.O.O.D Music project that will be released this summer.
Meanwhile, 070 Shake is still promoting her own project. Today, the G.O.O.D Music affiliate released the video for “Mirrors” off of her first EP, Glitter. The video and record give laid back summer vibes that are reminiscent of a roadtrip to the beach. However, the record’s actually content is more serious and self reflective. Shake uses the song to vent about self perception, stress and depression. 070 Shake sings, “I feel like, I don’t even love anything anymore/I can’t even look in the mirror anymore/I’m breakin’ into pieces/And I feel like I can’t even love right now anymore/And now everything I dreamed of/Is escapin’ my mind, and now I just want to be old/And I can’t really see you/I know you dressed up for me tonight but I just can’t see you/I know you did your makeup all for me tonight/And you look so good, but I can’t even see you/’Cause I can’t even see myself.”
