NO! Of course they’re not in trouble.
Sure it’s better to have Westbrook than not have him but there’s a reason why every team has a bench. So people can take over when called upon.
So with Westbrook out once again with what OKC GM Sam Presti said about his recent MRI
Area of concern that had not previously existed
(and apparently that meant knee surgery) it’s now next man up and in this case it’s Reggie Jackson.
Now Reggie is a legit backup. He’s similar to Eric Bledsoe who was a backup to Chris Paul last year at the Clippers. Along with the fact that his minutes has slowly risen every season it’s another chance for Reggie to strut his stuff.
And it’s not just Jackson getting an upgrade in terms of minutes. Jeremy Lamb will probably take over as sixth man since Reggie will be starting.
Jeremy is (in my mind) on the same level as Reggie in terms of overall skill. Can hit a jumpshot anywhere on the court, good passing ability the OKC bench is stacked and the fact that Westbrook is out till after the All Star break does not bother me at all. Because I know they have the backups to get it done.
