Jason Kidd’s career have been based on full circles, two to be exact.
Drafted by Dallas, co-Rookie of the year, leaves, goes back many years later and wins a championship with them. Decent couple of stints there.
The other full circle is the New Jersey/Brooklyn circle. Traded to the (then New Jersey) Nets, carries them to TWO NBA finals and so many triple doubles its crazy. Now where is he? He’s coaching the team he lead for years and now they’re retiring his number 5 jersey. Full circle indeed.
According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the Nets plan on retiring his No. 5 jersey at Brooklyn’s October 17th preseason game against the Miami Heat.
Can’t wait for that. Get to see one of the greatest point guards in NBA history getting what he deserves and I also get to see how the champions have improved in the offseason.
A real circle your calendar date for sure.
