As we’re just days away from the Seahawks and Patriots showdown at the Super Bowl, there’s a select few people in the world who will be only tuning in just to catch Katy Perry’s half-time show performance. As she preps for her Super Bowl debut, the Associated Press is reporting that Missy Elliot will be joining Katy as a special guest on Sunday evening. It was already announced by Ms. Perry, herself, that Lenny Kravitz would be joining her on Sunday and that a special female guest would be joining her too. It looks like that cat is out of the bag. If this seems like an odd pairing, Missy has collaborated with Katy Perry before on the remix of her Teenage Dream single, ‘Last Friday Night’.
In her recent interview will Billboard, the Pop-star noted that she was studying the previous half-time shows of Beyonce and Madonna.
The pop star is reviewing past halftime show performances from Madonna and Beyonce. Perry says she appreciates that they kept the songs “about the catalog” versus new material, and she lauded Madonna’s “‘graphic effects.” As for Beyonce, Perry gushes, “She brought so much strength, so much sassiness and just the right amount of sex.” But let’s be clear: Katy knows she won’t reach Beyonce levels during the Bowl. “She’s like five notches above me, and those levels are compounded in difficulty.”
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, take a look at Katy’s alleged stage setup for Sunday’s half-time show.
