Colin Farrell has confirmed the rumors that he will appear in the second season of True Detective.
Speaking with Irish newspaper Sunday World, the actor said he would be featured in eight episodes of the upcoming second season.
“I’m so excited…I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot.
I know very little about it, but we’re shooting in the environs of Los Angeles, which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids.”
The upcoming series is said to revolve around the “bloody murder of a corrupt city businessman.”
It is also said that police officials from three different cities will attempt to solve the murder.
Farrell and Taylor Kitsch were both linked to the second season after it was confirmed that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson would not be returning.
Series creator Nic Pizzolatto previously hinted that there are four lead roles in the new cast.
