The Celtics have added much-needed depth in the frontcourt as they signed two big men from Europe, Ante Zizic and Daniel Theis. The latter was reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Zizic was selected 23rd overall by the Celtics in last years draft. The 7-foot Croatian was then stashed overseas for one more season where he played for Cibona Zagreb of the Adriatic League for the first half of the season and then transferred over to Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, where he got to play under David Blatt in the TBSL and Euroleague for the second half of the season.
Theis is 6-foot-9 and is coming over from German club Brose Bamberg. With Bamberg Theis got to play in the BBL and Euroleague.
Theis signed a two-year deal and is a very good passer and can stretch the floor. Zizic is subject to the rookie-scale and will help provide rim protection and bring the Celtics to another level on the backboards.
