Ansah, who has had quite the solid career in Detroit, leaves the Lions after six seasons. Ranking fourth all-time in sacks for Detroit, Ansah recently has been nagged by injuries resulting in him missing a lot of playing time. Ansah only played in seven games last season, only recording four sacks.
Seattle adds a potentially valuable piece at a discount price. If Ansah can stay healthy, he brings new energy to the Seahawks’ defense that just recently witnessed the departure of Frank Clark.

As for Detroit, their defense still looks to be impressive. Damon “Snacks” Harrison is back after being acquired midseason from the Giants. Although he has yet to report to OTA’s, he is still expected to fill the void left by Ansah on the defensive line. They also penned Trey Flowers to a hefty five-year deal.
While Ansah is continuing to recover from his shoulder injury, there’s a possibility he could still play week 1 against the Bengals.
