$1,600 is more than my rent, but if I was Lebron James and had some money to blow I might entertain spending it on the Zeus Battle Robot. Standing at a towering fourteen inches and weighing just under five pounds, the Zeus Battle Robot is the toy that many of us wish we had as kids. It has the ability to fight like a boxer and throw a mean right hook. While it may not appear intimidating at first glance, it can pack a punch. The robot is not designed to operate at its full capacity when sold to consumers, but if it were it would have the ability to throw a 25 kg per servo punch. In English, that means it could hit pretty damn hard if its creators wanted it to or it malfunctioned.
For the $1,600 price, consumers will receive the robot, a wireless controller, battery, charger and design files to further customize the robot. When fully charged, it should run for close to an hour. The downside of purchasing this high tech toy for such a steep price is that you’ll have to assemble it yourself. If you’re not good with directions, you’ll have to pay another $100 for it to be put together for you. On the bright side, its developers at Pilot Labs are planning on having “an international fighting Robot contest with big cash prizes” that will allow you show of your robot’s fighting skills.
