While there has been little to no news on Marvel’s upcoming 2017 Spider-Man reboot, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker love interest has been cast. Deadline has reportedly gained info that Zendaya will be playing Michele. The writers of the upcoming Spider-Man explained that Marvel’s version will be Peter Parker dealing with his new found powers while going through the everyday struggles of a teenager in high-school. Michele, the love interest Zendaya has been cast as, is a potential love that comes after Peter’s break up with Mary Jane Watson inThe Amazing Spider-Man #592. Within that same thread of comics, Peter faces off against Chameleon while dealing with Michele.
The 2017 reboot will be directed by Jon Watts and be out in theaters as of July 7, 2017. Stay tuned for more details on the casting and potential villains.
