Why is it whenever Chandler Parsons has a good game (which is rare) he does something or says something that rubs me the wrong way?
It’s well documented that I’m not a fan of Chandler Parsons, I believe he isn’t all that but now and again he has a good game. Last night was one of those good games. Extremely efficient 24 points off 9/11 shooting, (6/7 3PT) 4 boards, 4 assists and 3 blocks. But late in the game after Parsons tied the game late against Orlando, Parsons and Zaza Pachulia had a weirdly heated exchange. It was very odd but like with every exchange, the people in the middle claim it was nothing.
“Nothing at all. Nothing,” Pachulia said. “It’s not the thing you guys are thinking. Trust me, we were talking. We’re trying to help this team. We’re trying to win, bottom line.”
Added Parsons: “Part of the game, getting excited for each other when he makes [plays] and we get on each other during the game. That’s just part of it. That was a little bit of a combination of both, but we both know it’s nothing personal. We’re just trying to win the game.”
The disagreement stemmed from Pachulia not immediately setting a screen when Parsons called for it. Pachulia apparently didn’t appreciate Parsons barking at him after the center set the pick that gave Parsons space to get off his jumper.
They took the loss by the way, in overtime, against Orlando.
I agree that it was nothing, but if this happens again they cannot dismiss it. And did anybody clock how Parsons wrapped up Pachulia’s arms so he doesn’t catch a right hook?
