The NBA is full of players where you recognise their name but you rarely know anything more than that. Zaza Pachulia is one of those players. All this time I was thinking he was playing for the Milwaukee Bucks before he came to his present destination (Dallas). He actually had a stint in Atlanta and Galatasary in Turkey before going back to Milwaukee. Who knew?!
He is currently averaging a double double in his 13th NBA season which I love, partly because I picked him up in fantasy but we’ll forget that but, thing is, he’s doing great and is reportedly loving his career at the moment.
“I don’t mind the mistakes I’ve done. I wouldn’t change anything, honestly. I would just keep everything because there is a reason why I am here at this point. As you know, the average career for an NBA player is 4.5 years, 5 years. I doubled it so I must be doing something right — not only being out here, but I am enjoying playing basketball and I have great teammates, I am in a great organization with a great coaching staff. And we’re winning the games. I am fortunate to be in this situation. I wouldn’t change anything obviously. Those mistakes were good mistakes for me.“
That is true. He has doubled the league average and more. It took him until now to be the starter of a possible Playoff team and average a double double. Life is good for the 31 year old from Georgia. (Bet you can’t point Georgia out on a blank map)
