He was recently released, along with OT Billy Turner by the Packers for cap purposes. Smith now will play for the team that drafted him in 2015.
In his time in Green Bay, he became a two-time Pro-Bowler and earned a selection to the All-Pro second team in 2020. He recorded 26 sacks, 107 tackles and 60 QB hits in his first two seasons with the Packers.
Unfortunately, an injury kept him on the sideline for most of the 2021 season. He came back just in time for the playoffs and now that he is fully healthy will be ready to bounce back for the Ravens.
Smith will join S Marcus Williams on the revamped Ravens’ defense.
Update
Smith has backed out and won’t sign with the Ravens and will go back to being a free agent, according to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network.
